maybe a weak connection between the wire ends at the sub or amp end, maybe check for pinched wires, ive heard they can make things cut out.did it just start, or has it been going on since you hooked it up?

check all ur wires and all your grounds

check how many ohms ur speakers are pulling , easiest way is to do this is to c how many ohms each sub is and how u wired them

if the amp is only capable of a 2 ohm load and ur running it at say 1 ohm load ur amp may overheat going into protect causing it to turn off and on cutting ur subs out

i havent been into systems in a long time but this is what id do.

yup. just sounds like your amp is over heating. checking the number of ohms your subs are running and make sure your amp is well ventilated

I had the same thing happen to me in my last car. The amp was the wrong size. It was also a Kenwood 200w amp, rigged up to dual Kicker Comp 12's... I COOKED that amp!

that amp is WAYYY too small. if it is 300 watt max, then the rms wattage is half that or less. the speakers you are trying to push are probably rated at the same rms as the PEAK of your amp. i would suggest a minimum 500 watt

I was a MAJOR stereo newb back then. The RMS on the Kicker Comps was prolly a Min of 150, I was running the amp's MAX 200 to them at the wrong impedance.... .. ohwell, cheap, and first sub setup. Live and learn.

If all connections are solid, amp is probably falling into protection mode. Then it's time to upgrade to a real Class-D amp from respected manufacturer.
