Stupid general question (not related to F-body...)
(... or even GM for that matter)
I work as an armed officer with an alarm response and patrol company. I am in my car patrolling 10 out of 12 hours a night, and there is no radio at all. I have my dispatch radio network and I scan the PD frequencies, but there are times when I just want to hear some tunes while I'm out on the road!
My P71 is an ex CHP unit, so it has no radio, and never did. My question is, can I put a Toyota AM/FM tape deck in there? I wouldn't think it would be a problem, just have to hit all the right wires, right?
The only reason I have this old Toyota radio is because I put a cheap JVC head unit in my beater, and I still have the stock 4W x 4 channel laying around at my house.
TIA

You will need a harness that plugs into the Toyota radio, you can pick one up at your local stereo store (called an OEM Toyota harness). Once you have the harness that plugs into the toyota radio it will be just like wiring up any other radio. The only tricky part will be mounting it. HTH!
