stock fog light install on camaro with no fogs

i'm gonna be getting some stock fog lights (with the housing brackets) very soon, as i love the look and my camaro has no fog lights...

what do i have to do to install them, physically, and also, if i want to wire them up, what do i have to do (i don't care about a switch, if they are wired to the headlights, coming on when the headlights are on, that would be fine)

thanks for your help
ian

I didn't know you could buy a camaro w/o fog lights. If there is no hole in the bumper where the stock ones would usually be then I couldn't tell you where they would look right....they wouldn't I suppose. I woudn't wire em up with the headlights. It is illegal to run em all the time and you will get pulled over for it eventually.

Both of mine came without foglights. On the 93 I had, I just ran the wires to a switch that I bought at radio shak. I mounted it to the console so it was hidden was not all sticking out all bad. They were aftermarket. The wires I put through the firewall. Umm...if you are going to get the stock headlights, they should just plug in if the harness is already there. In my 2000, I have the oddest Y87 package. I have no foglights, but it has the harness just laying there and on the inside the place where the switch is supposed to be, it just has a cover. I am planning to install them again but not until I find some decently used ones. So look in your car first to see if there are any loose wires or something. If not then, buy some aftermarket ones and it will have complete install instructions. From those you can compare what is there and maybe splice into the headlight switch. Aftermarket ones are better unless you already bought the stock ones. Are they giving you everything or just the actual foglights and no wires? I did not know you could get pulled over for foglights? On the older one I had blue covers and ran them whenever I drove not once did I get pulled over. I had the car for 2 yrs. Must be different then Texas. Werd.

I imagine it is probably different from state to state. But I have recieved warnings for driving with them on. No actual ticket tho. The officer said it was illegal to run em against oncoming traffic just like your brights are.

Looky there, a fellow Okie.

The police around here are way too picky about fog lights being on and not picky enough about the Texans running 110 up I-35.

I run my Fog-Lamps and Parking lights everytime I get in my car.
