stock amp?

i have a 94Z28 with the stock bose delco system and i tried to hook a pioneer head unit up and everything worked, but no sound. all the wires were correctly matched and i called pioneer and they said it is not compatible because the stock amp doesnt accept aftermarket cd players. So i took it to a speaker company and they said they can do it for 100$. Anyone know how to do this?

That is retarded. I bought my car with an aftermarket Pioneer head unit. Read this thread first, I explained it there:

Was the amp working before with the stock head unit? Are you using one of those plug in adapters or just splicing straight into the factory harness?

Use this to determine which wire on your harness is the amp power signal.

I'm pretty sure its the pink wire going from the radio to the bose relay. That wire tells the amp to turn on. Your adapter harness should be blue for that wire. Then hook the wire for the radio harness (the instructions will tell you which wire is for the external amp) and splice those. You have to be careful, there are normally 2 blue wires: one for the amp, and another for the power antenna. Camaros don't have a power antenna, so it is easy to mix these up.

EDIT: Oops, just noticed I never put the link in. Sorry bout that.
