WHY ARE YOU YELLING?

Looks like a nice setup. Are you putting it in your Camaro? You do not need two 12" subs in a Camaro.

But also nobody ever needs a 383, supercharger, nitrous, etc... But how many of us have those?

Thumbs up

Sounds like a nice setup.
FYI, did you know that all can be purchased for a lot less elsewhere?
I easily found all that for $860 less than on the alpine websight.

There's a lot of great deals out there, don't limit your options!

Yeah I actually did price the difference and thought about going the cheapter route...but if the store you buy it from is not an authorized dealer than it automatically voids the warrenty on what you bought...and thats not fun when you blow a sub or amp etc etc. Cuz then it's like now what..you just screwed yourself by trying to save money and now your going to end up spending more money.

That's a fair point, but there's a key difference.

A blown 383 will make an F-body go faster than some lesser engine, in a useful manner. That is, of course, assuming you're into drag racing, which most of us here are. But, assuming a couple upgrades for traction, that power is totally usable in an F-body.

A single high-quality 12" (or even a single 10") subwoofer with appropriate amplification will be more than enough to blow out your eardrums, which means the only use for more than that is if you're into SPL competition (and if you were, you'd be using an SUV or a van, not an F-body).

The way I look at it, a better analog to two 12" subs in an F-body would be an engine with 2500hp, not 500. You've surpassed the point of usefulness.

And if some kid with an LT1 came in here and asked how to start building such a powertrain for his daily driver, my response would be similar.

There's no logical need for a blown 383, or four 15" subs in a f-body. But who cares! This is about your passion and what you want!
Myself I'd love to have a twin turbo 800hp Camaro, with 2, 15" subs in the back!

Is it logical or practical?.....No!
Do I want it?....Hell,Yes I do!

Everybody's got their own twist on what's practical, or logical!

So I'll leave at that.

This is what I want to get and holy crap it's expensive.

if you want to save some money don't just go for alpine cause of the name

go to walmart see if they have a radio that has front and rear outputs and a separate sub output

then go to bestbuy or circuit city and ask for clearance or display speakers, subs and/or amps they may have been used while on display but you still get full warranty time and just buy the insurance

i got
12" insignia subs 1700 watt max originally 100 bucks each for 40 bucks each
6x9 5way kenwood originally 160 bucks a pair-30 bucks for the pair
4 channel kenwood amp originally 150 bucks-80 bucks for display
---fyi--- with insurance on 6x9's if anything happens to them within 5 years i get the new upgraded ones free since the ones i got were discontinued

take your time search around and find the deals

That's a totally different story. With turbochargers, it's a lot easier to have it still be drivable on the street. An 800hp supercharged Camaro would be nearly impossible to manage on the street.
