Stereo Cutting Out? Wierd Problem?

I have an Alpine CDA-9813 installed which is ran directly to the battery with a fused connection. My stereo will randomly cut out and turn off while driving. I think I have narrowed the problem to a group of wires going to the BCM behind the glovebox, if I shake these wires the stereo will cut out. Being I only have the switched 12v connected to the factory harness I was thinking it was the problem. I am having trouble tracing this wire so does anybody know if it runs near or to the BCM?

Try hard wiring your HU directly to the fuse panel. Don't use any of the factory wiring.
