Steering wheel controls

Hi I'm new to the forums, but not new to the Camaro world. I have owned 4 Camaros so far and my newest one is a 2002 Z28. On the steering wheel there are controls for the stock radio. I was going to upgrade my head unit in the near future and I was wondering if I can actually still use these buttons or will they be useless after the stereo upgrade?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure your new HU can be controlled by a infrared remote control, then purchase the PAC SWI-X (last one on that page)
