I've got an Alpine head Unit and the ipod adapter I ordered, but I've gotten attached to my monsoon sound system, how good does this sound when they are replaced? do they still have that nice loud sound? can the steering wheel controls still work? I love the steering wheel controls since I have a M6 2000 Camaro SS.

my friend bought a cd player to put in his monte carlo and they wanted a lot of money to install it because of the steering wheel controls, I don't remember how much though.

 

As long as your new HU uses an infrared remote control you can still use the steering wheel controls. Do a search for "PAC SWI-X" and you should find all you need to know about it.
