Stealth Panel for Sub

Stealth Panel for Sub
I have a MTX6000 Thunderbox in the storage space. It came w/ a black screen panel that goes in front of it for an even stealthier look.
Problem is that the panel secures to the sub box via 5 plastic clips. The clips secure into holes lined w/ rubber.
Upon installing the panel, the guy just banged on the clips to pop it into place, this damaged the rubber so that the clips slowly deteriorated.
So now the panel is held on simply by being up under the plastic side panel, but it sticks out on the bottom.
Has anyone else had a similar problem or have a suggestion for a solution.
Now, it sticks out at the bottom past the plastic where the Ttops go, so that if the T's are in the trunk, the screen would be in contact w/ them... so basically it's slanted and anti-stealth.
Thanks,
