static?

static?

what would cause static in 1 speaker in the back, i looked at it everything looks great, but just on certain sounds i hear static, cant pinpoint the problem, can anyone help with suggestions thanks, look below as to the setup up i have in the car

is it blown?? try hooking up another speaker to and see if it makes the same sound.

if it was blown wouldnt i see some damage to the cone? it looks fine but il try that and see what happens, and i dont go past 85 watts so i cant see how it would blow up

nope, you wouldnt be able to see a blown speaker unless u have a 15 year old factory speaker with a paper cone that is completely dry rotted (saw that at work tonight )

Could also be a damaged voice coil, or a bad connection at the inputs of the speakers, the certain noises could cause vibrations, which make the connection unstable, thus causing static... Or it could be blown... Just explore the other possibilities first.
