Speakers are too loud!

We just installed a brand new sony head unit in the camaro because the orignial crapped out on us. IT sounds great and works great, but one the volume hits 8, its loud. Once it hit 12, its as loud as the stock would go. Im scared bout maybe bustin my speakers because the head uinit volume goes up to 30. IS there any way to turn down to volume? (amplifier or head unit, or will i just have to live with it) The head unit is a Sony CDX-GT100 and its attached to the stock bose system

Bass -6, TReble -6, ect. Stuff like that, or if you have an after market amp, turn down your gains! Or just let the speakers play!! They won't blow as long as you don't clip them and you don't distort them.

You're double amplifying the system. Its what happens when you put an aftermarket radio on a factory amped system. Your speakers and amps will have a much shorter lifespan due to the increased power. Gut your system and run all new wire off of the radio or for best results a nice quality 4-channel amp. I recommend Alpine's V-Power F-250 4-channel. Its small, inexpensive and sounds good. Of course there's better out there.
