I have a 97 Z28 all factory radio and speakers.(monsoon)
In this 6 speaker setup, are any of the speakers sub woofers? passenger area maybe..they vibrate so i have unooked them a while back..Anyway i intend to replace the factory speakers with some good ones..and i dont want to have to change all the wiring and stuff. .comments, sugestions..? thanx in advance.

 

I know for sure the rear speaker (hatch area) on the driver side is a Bose sub and I think on your year there is also one on the passenger side as well. I have a 95 and only have one sub in the back but I think the newer ones had two.

 

yes 1 sub in the rear hatch, and the rear speakers are mid bass, and if your going to change the speakers, ide take my time and change the wires to, stock systems are very picky when it comes to changing speakers around, in the long run you wont regret it

Agreed. Do you plan on adding an amp to them? If so, then rewiring is a must. of course.

 

thanx guys, but i have the monsoon 6 speaker system..and there are 2 speakers in the hatch area, 2 in the rear pass compartment and 2 in the doors, i know that on the older bose systems here is a sub in the hatch are, but im pretty sure its diff omn the 97+ cars..correct me if im wrong..
