My car is a 96 formula w/ 4 speakers. I was wondering what size speakers I actually have. The crutchfield mag says that they are 5 1/4 up front and 6 3/4 out back. I had some trouble buying some speakers a while back. Bought 4 kenwoods. The guy told me they would work and none of the holes would line up right. So I didn't even try the fronts.

Anyone why Crutchfield says that the front speakers are 5 1/4?

 

The same reason that they said the rear speakers in my Tahoe were 6x9's when they were in fact 4x10's. Just cuz Crutchfield says so don't mean that it IS so.
