Speaker question for my car

my car came standard with 3 speakers, 2 behind the headrests and one under the dash up front. The one up front is blown, and i put 2 Pioneer 6x9's in the back. Anyone know the size of the dash speaker so I can replace it!?

Re: Speaker question for my car

For the front of my '77, my dad fabricated a bracket and put 2 4" speakers there. I'd suggest you do that, that way you can hook your speakers up to a 4 channel head unit and have fade, right to left as well as front and back.

Getting to the front speakers is a pain though, be prepared to rip out seemingly everything under the dash.

What I did with my '76 back in the day was disconnect the front dash speaker when it blew out and installed a pair in the doors. The speakers came with a template, as they all do, and in a few hours I had music. If you still have the stock radio, it may still have a wiring schematic on it that show you which wires lead to that front speaker.
