Angry speaker noise

ok, so far i have 2 amps, one for the subs and another for 6x9s and they are both running through an eq. the problem is that when i shut my car off i get a rapid tapping sound only from my 6x9s, i have no idea what would cause that noise, any suggestions would be helpful, thanks

Mine did somethin similar. It turned out to be a loose ground connection.

What kinda radio is it? Id lose the EQ. Theyre so 80's. Could be bad ground as suggested above, or a possible problem with the remote wire, although, if the subs dont do it, and use the same remote, you can pretty much rule that out.

Id lose the EQ for sure then. Test the remote wire after the deck is off, see if its still giving voltage to the amp. Dont forget the ground as well.

EQs seem to cause weird affects like that sometimes. Some of them change the voltage being sent to the amps so it may be a cause for your initial problem. Or...

It sounds more like that remote wire si the problem and may be loose either at the amp or the head unit. I'd re-run that wire and see what happens.
