Sound quality differences in car cdplayers

I used to have a 1999 model Pioneer deh-p7000r ( shown here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=39762 )in my camaro, but it took a dirt nap about a week ago. As a temporary replacement I borrowed my fathers cheap pioneer deh-10 (or something like that). Anyway, now the sound quality in the car is absolutely horrible!!! For my replacement I want/need it to have mp3 cd capabililty and be around the $150-$230 price range on ebay; but I desperately want to make sure that it has at least the sound qualtity of my deh-p7000r ($400 for its time). of I am leaning towards the deh-p7500mp shown here:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ayphotohosting

But I am very worried about its sound quality. Do any of you have any suggestions? How is Alpine?

Thanks in advance

best sound quality decks IMO are Alpine and Eclipse.....ive used both.....Eclipse plays the music exactly as it is on disk...alpine adds color to make the music sound better....both extremely good decks I currently have an Eclipse Deck for sale ill let it go for $175 or b.o. no mp3 tho.....but i think u can get a cd changer for the mp3

That Pioneer is a good choice, its probably going to sound the same as your 7000. I however I prefer Alpine... I also agree with Crakd about the Eclipse HOWEVER i think ESN is the most retarded feature ever to be added to a CD player, its a completely dumb gimmick. Thats the only reason Id never use an Eclipse Deck in any vehicle.

You cant go wrong with a good Alpine Deck, notice how their HU's dont have all the gimmick screen savers etc, just good sound. The Pioneer is a nice unit too however, Id rather spend the money and get more useful real features, and better quality.

Sound great. If you can afford better, step up to the 9813. This will get you the bass Engine Pro features, which include 6-channel time correction!
