Angry Right channel of my amp isn't working

I have a 800 watt four channel sony amp that I am bridging to run subs on. Each sub is geting 400 watts. The right side will not sustain power for more than a second before the warning, "Over Current" comes on and the amp shuts off. The left side of the amp works fine and sustains power to all levels. Why am I getting that warning ( I lost my booklet) and how do I fix it? Why is it just the right side?

check your all of your connections...to start. But you may have something wrong with the amp. Try hooking up the other sub and see if you get the same result. If the same thing happens, then there's something wrong with your amp.

I checked all of the connections and tested both subs. The problem was present with both subs so I thought it was the amp but wasn't sure. Any idea what it might be ? Is this a problem I can have repaired or might I have to replace it?

My guess is it's your amp that is the problem. SONY isn't known for making the most reliable car audio products.
