Rewiring my speakers, some ?s

I'm working on my '95 Z. I replaced the stock speakers with some pioneers about a year ago. I'm having some problems with my cd deck and I want to go in and run some decent speaker wire to all 4 speakers. The stock wiring looks so cheap, I can't wait to get that out. Can someone run by me the process of replacing speaker wire? Are we talking taking the dash completely apart, seats out, and carpets up? I'd like to some idea of what I'm undertaking, but that old wiring needs to go. Thanks.

Re: Rewiring my speakers, some ?s

I don't think it should be that hard. The ones that run from the door panel to the deck go though the wire grommet on the door, under your dash (6 screws hold it in) then to the deck. The rear go along the bottom side near the kickpanel section. The ones in the trunk if you have any go along the same path. At least on my 2000 it was running that way. It will be hard taking everything off, but not something with a little experience can't handle. I hope it is like that in my 98 this weekend when I take everything apart to get rid of the Monsoon.
