replacing monsoon deck with aftermarket

when replacing my monsoon deck with an alpine do i need anything other than the standard wiring harness? will everything still sound the same or better? i just dont want to lose quality and still want to use all the factory speakers. also whats the extra wiring harness on the deck, is it for a changer?

I replaced the monsoon with an Alpine a year ago and i got a popping noise whenever i changed the preset radio buttons or turned the volume up or down. I was told that it was the radio,i tried another(alpine) one and the same thing happened. I then put in an Eclipse and the problem was gone. Never found out what it was. You just need the standard wiring harness for the install, and don't forget the antenna adapter. I used METRA for both. I used an antenna adapter by Scosche and it wouldn't work. As for sound it sounds the same to me. And yes that extra wiring is for the cd changer.
