repairing factory delco bose CD headunit

my factory Delco/Bose headunit will only play very select CD's, and won't play any CDr's at all. usually it has to warm up before it will even play cd's that it seems to like.

i searched, and found that this seems to be a relativly common problem, and that it can be fixed. however, i could not find how it could be fixed, or how much the fix costs, or who can fix it. how do you fix the stock delco/bose cd headunit?

this is for a 1995 z28 with the U1T option code.
