Remote start then stalls
Last night I hooked up the second START wire from my alarm to the Yellow wire in the ignition harness. I disabled my VATS bypass module and left the key in the ignition. It started. So it looks like my original problem was not having the alarm connected to the Yellow wire. I am still not sure why it is needed because it appears to be the airbag circuit and and some other unneeded circuits.
Now I have isolated a problem with the VATS bypass. I need to double check my connections because I know the resistor is correct. I need to know if the VATS bypass module needs to be engaged only during START or during RUN also? I think I ca prove this by pulling they key out after the car starts and see if it keeps running.
Anybody know for sure if the VATS bypass only needs to be engaged during crank? My alarm has a separate negative output during crank that I could use if it will work.
