Rear speakers not working

I've got the stock monsoon system, but it's been acting up lately.

The speakers next to the rear seats (which provide the bass) haven't been working for a while now, but the other day they worked for about 5 minutes. All the other speakers work fine.

I checked fuses and that sort of thing, but besides that I have no idea where to start to get this issue resolved. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks

get rid of the monsoon and run a decent 4 ch that you have some good control over.

i'm willing to bet the amp is bad

exactly.... test the speaker further if you really want to know, but it's likely the amp if both are bad -- sometimes replacing them, even if the amp channel is bad, will solve the problem.....sometimes people upgrade then the amp channels go bad......just every combination of weird this possible..

Replacing that amp isn't as easy as whoever mentioned it if you plan on staying stock, unless you want to delete the hatch speakers (want to do that anyway) and spend good money. The sails get around 70-75wRMS and are LPF from Monsoon, front's are components stock so you would need crossovers with a new amp....unless you plan on replacing all of your speakers as well.

If you are only concerned about the bass currently, might as well just let a sub take care of that and not depend on the Monsoon syst.

it's not easy, but then again it's not too hard. on the amp input side test with the meter and a 9v battery and make connections for your 4ch or a L.O.C.
