re: remote start alarm install

Question re: remote start alarm install

has anybody installed a remote start alarm system in their car? if so how hard was the install? what brand ? i was looking at this alarm on ebay- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...015209346&rd=1

If you're going to do an alarm, particularly with a remote start - do it right the first time. Use only a DEI or Clifford alarm. Use clifford only if your car is a manual. For automatics, use DEI. The higher quality and simpler installation (at least with DEI) is worth a little extra money in the long run. I'd suggest not going with an ebay auction, particularly if this is your first alarm install. It's easy for something to be missing or broken in that type of auction.

I have a clifford, and put a Avital 3300 (DEI) in my mothers vehicle. Flawless...
