radio wire doesnt fit, help me please

my car came with no radio. 1994 firebird formula. the previous owner had an aftermarket deck and i think he changed one of the wires that connect to the decks. i just got my stock radio and tried to install it right now. the wire with the tip that looks like a pen does not fit in the hole. its too big. i guess he replaced that to fit his aftermarket deck. what is that wire called and where can i get one that fits the stock deck? or is there something else easier to make it work?

thanks

The stock radio use a mini Motorola plug and after-market HUs all use regular size Motorola plugs. If the previous owner had an after-market deck installed he would have had to use a standard to mini plug adapter. You should be able to remove the adapter. It's usually just a section of co-axial cable about 8 or 9 inches long plugged into the end of the car's antenna cable.
