Radio Question

Does anyone know if an 89 radio will swap with a 91 radio to replace it, is space similar and wiring harness compatible?
Thanks.

yes they will, but if you have the will power, i would switch to a 97-02 gm cd/radio from the monte carlos, silverados, malibus, camaro's, firebirds, s-10's, blazers, and jimmy's. they are a direct fit as far as physically. some of them plug right in to the stock 89 harness, and some take a lil modding. mine took a lil modding and had to splice a couple wires, but 45 minutes or 25 bucks tp pay somebody to do it is worth it. it is a much cleaner look than aftermarket cd, fits right in, and appears to be stock to the untrained eye. lol i did this on mine. bought the cd player for 80 on ebayu and payed a pal 20 bucks to put it in. one of my best creature comfort mods! lol

This threads, kinda slow. I am gonna ship it to the Audio forum. You'll probably get more replies and suggestions there.
