Question quick question on power output

does anyone know how much power the stock subwoofer gets in a 1995 camaro z28 with the bose system. i'm thinking about buying one of those single 10" boxes that fits back there and i have a sub that only needs about 100-120 watts

Bose amplifiers cannot power other subs. They all opperate on a very low resitance (below 2ohms) Not to mention because of this the amplifier is really small, it is a little bigger than a pack of cigarettes.

What you should be doing is using the preamp outs on your head unit to run some RCA's to an amp and then to the sub. This is the right way to do it and will yield the best results. Make a new thread if you want suggestions on what gear to buy.
