questions about stock 94 bose system

hey guys. i just sold my 95Z and now have a 94Z. my stock system in the 95 sounded great! i just wanted to know the difference between the 95's and the 94's stock system?!? also, my 94 has the bose TAPE player!!! is there any easy way to convert this system to be like the 95?? i want to buy the same CD head unit as my 95..... will i then have to add the 6x9's in the back (i didnt even check if it had them yet)... and replace the sub??? any information would be appreciated! oh and by the way.... i am not a car audio freak... so i dont really want anything aftermarket! just a nice sounded system will be fine!

CD player is the same unit. 94 had door speakers and sub in the back. 95-up had door speakers, sail panel speakers and sub in the back. All drivers are technically 6 3/4" drivers. You may be able to just upgrade the CD and get the sound you want. Otherwise, the complete harness is different on the 95-6 car.

You may use a head unit from a 94,95,or 96 Bose car; they are direct plug and plays. To add the rear 2 speakers, you will have to at least install the rear sub and the rear 2 speakers. I know the sub has a diffent connector on the 95 and 96. I have a bad feeling you'll have to run the whole harness from the subs and sail panel speakers.

In the next 2 weeks I will be replacing the entire bose system in my 96 SS. CD Player, and all 5 speakers. The CD player wont play a CD about once every 2 weeks while the car is cold, but once it warms up it functions perfectly. If you're interested, drop me an email or reply here.
