Question Question on Bose system

I have a 1997 Camaro SS with the stock stero system, but One of my friends has an f-body parts car with the Bose system. He said that I could buy the bose subwoofer from him; so I was just wondering if that Bose subwoofer would work with my factory system and if so, how? Thanks

No, it will not work. Bose speakers have their own built in amps and need a line level signal from the HU. The sub is also an odd impedence, so trying to use it with anything other than a Bose system is not a good idea.
