The stereo shop I went to today told me that I don't need the PAC to switch from the Monsoon to aftermarket head unit. I guess I'll try the regular harness and if it doesn't work I'll go with the PAC. What do you guys think? thanks

No, the OEM-1 isn't necessary to add a new HU to the POS Monsoon system. The POS Monsoon amp uses speaker level inputs so a standard wiring harness should be all you need.
