power filter?

I have a 95 z-28 with pioneer speakers powered by rockford fosgate amps and a 2 jbl 10" in the back. I have platnium 4+ spark plugs and I get a whistling from the speakers when the car is on. the wistling gets higher pitched when i rev the engine. is ther a power filter or something like that to fix my problem?

Sounds like you're getting some noise induced into your audio system. Did you run your power wire next to your RCA's? They should be run on opposite sides of the vehicle. Hmmmm..... how are your grounds? Did you scrap away ALL the paint? Looking for BARE metal here. Ok, if you've done that... you'll have to think logically on this. Think of the signal path, then try to isolate the piece of gear causing the problem. Start with a pair of RCA muting plugs. That will break the system down the center into two pieces. Deck+RCAs+EQ+etc. and AMPS+ SUBS+ etc. If you still have noise.... you've eliminated the head unit half. Concentrate on the amps and subs..... or vice versa if you half no noise.

Then I take it that your system was professionaly done? I'd take it back to them.
