Did the Camaro have a power antenna before? They should be the same.

no, i am trying to convert from a standard non power antenna to a power antenna. i do not htink any camaros came with factory power antenna. Does anyone else know of another place to find a remote turn on from the radio...i really dont feel like taking that out...im lazy...lol...

Also...isnt there already a drain hole in the bottom of the car anyway? Or anyway i can run the drain tube without drilling?

I just did this mod to my car yesterday. Yes you can put a power antenna in place of the stock one. I used this website to go by...

I had to go to radio shack for a couple of parts, the pin for the radio connector was about $3. And got the wire for the remote turn on from home depot for another $2.50. Man it looks great, wife loves it to, she thought it was going to be crap at first. Will try to get some pics up today.

No not at all. I had to order from crutchfield a female to female antenna connector, 6" for $5. That way i didn't have to run a new antenna wire to the radio.

Re: Power Antenna on SS

sorry to leave topic a bit but why Did the T/A Get better equipment them the camaro? between the antennae, better speakers and the power lumbar support in the more supportive front seats (even the passenger has electric functions) it seems we camaro owners got the short end of the stick.

Re: Power Antenna on SS

because even though the are the exact same car...pontiac is higher on the chain then chevy (supposed to be more luxurious) hense more expensive...thats also why a new loaded TA costs a few k more then a new loaded Z28, (the WS6 compares to the SS)

also, why did you have to order a female to female antenna extender from cruthfield, was the other one not long enough? Did you use a GM antenna?
