Positive feed to amp
Positive feed to amp
If I were to run a fused wire from the positive terminal of the battery into the cockpit to run an amp. Where would be the best place to pass the wire through the bulkhead? or is there an easier place to feed it through?
How do you guys get a line through to your amps?
Thanks,
Scott

I did a search regarding connecting the amp wire to the mounting post on the wheelarch and theres seems to be conflicting views on wether this is safe.
The battery to mounting post wire seems to be quite hefty, is it not enough to take the current required by the car together with the requirements of the amp? or should it be ok to connect the wire at this point?
I don't really want to have to buy an adapter for the actual battery terminal, living in the UK that involves unecessary cost if there is an alternative way.

I have my 350w amp and deck attached to that PS post, is this going to create an issue? Everything seems to work ok? And to answer the post, I ran mine through the grommet behind the CPU with no issues.
Well, which side of that PS post is it attached to? the battery side or the other side?
Also, what is your amp fused at?
THe problem with that spot is there is only about a 10Ga wire running from the battery/alternator to that spot. That is NOT a lot of power capability, especially seeing it's feeding all the other electronics in your car as well.
If you're amp is fused any higher than 40 amps I'd say you should conside re-locating where you tap in, and possibly do the big 3..
Big 3 being replacing the wire from the + Battery to the Alternator, - Battery to Ground, and + Battery to that PS block.
