placing the 6.5 speakers on the doors

Ok I got the Rocksford Fostgate 6.5 speakers that Im gonna put on the doors I notice when I pulled out the monsoon speakers its being hold by another bracket. I place the new speaker on it and it's not flush. I was wondering what else I can do to make it fit or should I just bolt them straight down to the door without the bracket. I got the amp rack from subthump.com but it looks like a mission to set it up on the rear any of you guys with the TA have it and if so any hints?

Make a set of baffles to mount them to. I don't know if your '97 is like my '99 or not but I tried mounting my speakers to the factory baffles. It turned out that on long excursions the mid-woofer was slamming into the back of the door trim panel. I ended up blowing one of them on account of this. The baffles I made lowered the speakers 1/4" deeper onto the door cavity.

Mikey 97 TA WS.6 your PM mail box is full. Here is my reply to your last PM.

First you need to make sure that the factory baffles used in your car are the same as the ones in my '99 Trans Am. Then I need to know the model and size of your speaker's mounting hole and the overall diameter of your speakers.

I don't and never will do PayPal. I had a bad experience with them a few years ago and I will never deal with their sorry *** service again.
