Are there any locations in the console where I can piggy back off of a power wire that is only on with the headlights? I was thinking about splicing into the wire running into the bulb for the shifter. Are there any other options? I really dont want to run a wire all the way to the fuse box, but will if I have to.

 

not that I know of. there is the radio illumination wire behind the radio. you can use that with a relay to activate the bulb with the power wire already feeding the bulb. or just run to the light switch itself.
