My brother is a car audio guy and gave me this listing of speakers to choose from to replace the BOSE speakers in my car. Im replacing only the two front speakers. I guess I'll wait on a sub woofer because of money.
Which one of these would you go with? I hear these Infinity Kappa series, are awesome. B.T.W, will it still sound somewhat decent without my sub or not really? Or can I somehow keep my BOSE sub in the back trunk and have it work with my setup? I just put in a new head unit the other day
Polk DB6750
POLK MMC5250
Rockford P162S
Infinity Kappa 60.7cs
Infinity Reference 6010cs
Boston Acoustics SL60
JBL P650C

Infinity's hurt my ears. Too harsh on the high end.
Haven't heard Polk's, but I hear they take a lot of power without too much complaint.
I would add JL VR650-CSI to that list, as well as pretty much anything from CDT (Except the CL line).
You should do an aftermarket sub, as it'll blow the Bose sub away, and no 6.5" component set will do what a sub can do.

From that list i would go with:
First Infinity Kappas
Seconod Boston Acoustics
Third Polk Db
That would be my choices depending on how much power you got. If you've go an amp, i believe the infinities would sound best. Kappas need alot of power to work well. Bostons are very clear, with minimal power and the polks are a good all around speaker. Thats my 2 cents.
