OK need help with new head unit.

I replaced my factory Delco Loc II with a Pioneer, using the Scosche wiring connector. Everything seams to work fine on the Pioneer, but no speakers. Whats the deal? The back of the Scosche wiring connector said you also needed a Fai-3 adapter for Bose systems.http://www.gadgetpros.com/scfa4lecopr.html? Do I have to have this? I have a 95 Z28 with the Delco Loc II system with Bose speakers.
