ohm reading

ohm reading

how do i found out the ohm of my type r's i bought them used and am not in contact with the man. any way i can check with ohm meter

Just take your ohm meter and put it on the terminals on the back of the sub. Type Rs are dual coil. Measure each coil individually. If the sub is not blown the reading should be the same. Make sure you test without the sub hooked up so that your reading is right.

the lowest you can. the speaker is going to read either 2ohm or 4ohm per voice coil.

depending on which speaker you have, the whole speaker should read 1ohm, 2ohm, 4ohm, or 8ohm depending on the individual voice coil impedance and how it's wired. this is per speaker.

remember, most amps will NOT support a 1-ohm load.
