Newbie Sub question

I am in the works of putting a system in my car, i currently have a 45x4 kenweed headunit power my doors and sail pannel speakers.

I have the hatch speakers disconnected, and have two 6x9s in boxes that i would like to set on either side of a 12' or 15' on the platform right behind the back seat firing forward tward the T-tops.

I was looking at subs last night and saw an 800 watt Xplode for $80, so do i actually need an 800watt amp to push that? or what size amp would be sufficient for a sub and two 6x9s...

Also if anyone could recommend a good relitively cheap sub/amp or replacement for one of my door speakers i would be greatful.

Also ive seen dual channel amps and such, what would i need for this setup?

Sorry i havent had much experience with stereo, any help is greatly appreciated.

my friend runs his "1200W" hex xlpod on a 230W kenwood amp works fine. Your xplod doesnt have 800 watts, more like 250W lol lots of companies do that, annoying.

I think he was talking about a subwoofer with an 800W rating. But as is stated above, the Sony Xplode series is some of the worst quality stuff around...... If you are looking for a cheap 15" I'd say the Kicker Comp Vr line.

Look into Rockford Fosgate line. I recommend their product highly for the quality and sound reproduction. You can build a killer amp/sub combo for under $400(Cdn). I've done it!

My recommendation: since you live in Sedalia, go to Creative Audio on Broadway ave, and talk to Zack.

Check out whatever JL sub that falls within your budget.
