New Subs

My good old CompVr 12"s aren't so good anymore. With one blown past repair it's time for a new set of subs. I'm just having a hard time deciding what I wanna go with. 2 CompVR 15"s or 3 Solo-Baric L7 10"'s??? I know the 10's will punch like crazy. But the 15"s will give me awesome SPL levels. I hope 3 10's will give me a good mix of both. Opinions?

3-10's, had um, loved um, 15's are good to impress a radius of 3 blocks from your car, but if its your daily driver, you might just want some sq every now and then

Re: New Subs

If you've got the budget for 3 L7s, then I recommend something much better.... More along the lines of a Brahma or XXX. Search out Adire Audio or Resonant Engineering for those 2 subs. They make the L7s look like crap performance wise.

Re: New Subs

I'm prolly going to go with some 15"s but I'm not sure about a box. Maybe a pre-fab? or a Custom? But if I build a custom. I don't know if I should have the subs facing down or towards the back of the car?

Re: New Subs

make a box in which you can rotate to find out which direction the subs sound best

I hear that. the L7's will hit hard. abuddy of mine had 2 12's and they hit like circular 15's. three 10's willl give you some impressive (at least) bass response!
