New CD player or another stocker?

Mine hasn't worked since I bought the car (April '04). I'm just now looking for one. I can either get a stocker or an aftermarket one. They seem to be right around the same price (According to EBay).

What would you do? I thought an aftermarket one would look weird because ours are so big (height-wise). Anyone have any suggestions/pictures?

The factory HU has proved time and time again that it is NOT a reliable unit. I'd rather have an after-market HU that looked "weird" than one that more than likely will crap out in time.

For as long as I can remember my father bought primarily GM vehicles, I've owned 3 myself 2 of which were pontiacs (GTP and the current Trans Am)

I've never had issues with the stock Delco decks like some people claim on here....and they've had some major playing time I can assure you.

If you like the look of the stock factory look you might as well go with another stock deck. However, you could pick up a pretty good aftermarket unit for just a little bit more than a stock one and the aftermarket deck will have many more controls and features. Also if you plan on adding more of a stereo later on it would be a good idea to get an aftermarket unit now.
