Need sub help bad

I am looking for another sub for my car. This will be number 3 so I am looking for something with either a warranty or one that is very strong.

I'm looking to spend around $250 max. It will be going in a 10" JL Audio stealth box and be powered by a Rockford Fosgate Power 360.

I have had problems with Image Dynamics and Alumapro already so I don't want another one of those.

I read a lot about Elemental Design subs but their new line doesn't come out till June 1st and I can't wait till then.

I would like a 4 ohm sub with great SQ, that will hit hard, and handle around 350 watts RMS.

I have done a lot of searching on the message board before posting this and have not really found what I was looking for.

Some brands I was considering were:

Diamond Audio
A/D/S
Audiobahn
Alpine Type-R
Eclipse
Power Acoustik

I don't really want a sub that everyone and their brother have like JL or Kicker.

Please give me your suggestions. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I am pushing 300W RMS at a RF Punch HE 12" in my wife's car and it's taking it with smiles! Plus, they're ~$100-$130...

I'm sending 600W RMS to a 10" Alpine Type-S with no problems.

How do you have your sub amp's gain set? Blowing subs like you have makes me think that you don't have it set properly.

The problem with the Alumapro is where the ground wire goes into the cone. If you push it up (towards the cone) it works. As soon as you let go it stops. It doesn't look like it is fixable. The problem is inside the cone.

I forgot to mention. I didn't change the gain on the amp when I got it. I only changed the LP crossover.
