need some help

what exactly is, (and what does it do) an Epicenter Bass Enhancement Processor?
by Audiocontrol, comes with sub module.

just wonderin if its like a power cap or something along those lines. i found it for $100 and they say it sells for $300 new, do i need it?
heres what i have

Pioneer DEH P650
CDX P670 (changer)
(2) JBL 180.2 (running the mids)
(1) JBL 1200.1 ( for subs)
(4) Audiobahn AW1251Q
tsunami 1 farad power cap
clarion 6" components up front
Audiobahn 6" 3 ways in back
5.6" lcd screen
PS2

so yeah basically can i throw it in here too

It synthesizes bass information an octave below the information that is in the music being played. For example, if the music beimg played has information say at around 50Hz the Epi will synthesize bass information down to 25Hz and add it to the signal going to the sub amp. They're a waste of money IMO.

but if they are adding extra bass (like for SPL comp.) then why are they a waste of money?
