Need Help Asap..stereo Contol Wiring!!!

hey guys,

i don't know what to do, i have a 94 T/A w/radio controls on the steering wheel. I have purchased a newer style wheel and controls. how do i wire the contols for the new wheel!!!

on my old controls i have 4 wires on the left and 5 wires on the right.

the right side powers the left and each side has 3 green wires!!!

the new controls also have the same number of connections, but i don't know which wire goes where on the new controls?

i was thinking that the top terminals on ech side (red wires) are the power?

and the green are for the buttons(obviously).

i just don't know which green wires goto which ON THE NEW controls. the old controls go down in a strait line. but the new controls are triangle shaped, so i donno which buttons control which terminals?

please help me thanx

adam

if you still have the factory head unit i would just get a wiring diagram from a chilton or haynes manual and just spilce into the original wiring

i looked and it doesn't say where it goes????

second, i still wont know the secquence it goes in. there 5 prongs on the connection and from that it splits into 7 wires?

i just need some one to tell me the secqence of wires that goto the controler from the quick connect harness behind the airbag.

bassically... if there is 7 wires comming from the harness behind the airbag. i need to know what green wire goes where...

example the 1st green wire after the red goes to the left terminal 2nd spot down
the 2nd green wire goes to the 4th spot down..etc

or should i just go buy a complete wiring harness from the radio to the wheel??????

I would suggest that you go out and get a set of the Helms manuals for the F-bodies then, they have a schematic for every circuit in the car and details on how and where everything goes.

The Chiltons are basically worthless, the haynes is ok. But the Helms is the best, I have a set for '95 & '97 and it includes every wiring diagram of the whole car including the steering wheel radio controls. Check ebay, I got the '95 set off of there for $60.

NineSevenWS6, thanks yours is sweet too.
