I've got a JVC head unit. Worked perfectly well before the car started sitting. It's been probably 2yrs since a CD has been played in it since it's sat atleast that long. I had the detachable face in my room the whole time. Anyway when I got the car back I put the face back on and I was off. Radio works just like normal, but when I put CD's in it try's to play them for a second then ejects them back out. No error msg or anything, just ejects. I tried a cleaning CD with no good results. So I took the head unit out and took the front piece off to see if I could see the CD turning. When a CD goes in it just sits there and doesn't spin at all, then ejects the CD like mentioned before. I tried to move the CD thinking something might be jammed. It spins freely when turned by hand. So do you think my motor that turns the CD's is shot? If it is, where can I get a replacement? Or if you have any other ideas to help let me know. Thanks. The unit is apart right now on my coffee table and I need to get it back together.
