Need a good 10" sub that'll fit in a truck box.

Hey everyone, I need some help finding a good 10" sub that I can put in a truck box for my trunk. What brands do you recommend and where should I buy them from? Thanks.

do you have crutchfield? if not go to the website, www.crutchfield.com , and look for subs that can fit in a truck box. Pretty much any subs that crutchfield recomends would be decent. Buy from ebay though, cheaper prices.

about the best sub for truck boxes i can think of is the Image Dynamics IDQ. They are designed for very small enclosures and they have a pretty shallow mount depth.

I love these Kicker L7's, you can get them pretty cheap on wholesale audio shops. They are more SPL, power hungry, and don't need a large box to hammer. Probably one of the smalller box speakers in their class. Plus kicker claims their 10" L7's hit the same as a 12 round sub.

Couldn't disagree more with the box size claim. They are meant for very LARGE sealed boxes. You are right about them being capable SPL machines and that they are inefficient, but totally wrong on the box size. If you don't care about sound quality go ahead and stick them in a small box, i just can't recommend that sub in a truck box.... AT ALL!!!
