I just bought a 1999 Camaro SS. The problem is that the keyless entry is broken and the alarm system goes off all the damn time. If I unlock and open the car door, I've got about 7 seconds before the alarm goes off. If I open the trunk or the passenger door with the regular key, the alarm goes off. Is there any way I can disable the alarm system? I dont have the owner's manual and I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks.

 

Look under your dash for a little black box with a bunch of little wires going into it, thats the brain of the alarm. Unplug it, either find out what brand it is and get another remote or get another alarm all together.

 

ok, now does the keyfob just not work? or does the power lock not work on the drivers side? or do you not have the keyfob? cause it sounds to me like you need to either:

1. replace the battery in your keyfob
2. replace the keyfob(ebay it).

but that is only if you are still dealing with the stock alarm system, which it sounds like you are.
