Monsoon speaker whine?

New 2001 SS with Monsoon system in it (haven't modified it in any way) and I could SWEAR I hear speaker whine in it that adjusts with RPM. My dad's '96Z with Bose had a similar sound, and I never tore into it to determine if it was speaker whine or not, but I'm wondering now ...

Does this happen, and if so is there a filter I can buy to eliminate it?

Well its a bad ground wire which is causing the alternator whine noise. For your car you should take it to the dealer and have them fix it assuming its still under factory warranty for your dads car see if a local shop will fix it for a price. PM for more info.
