Hello, I have the Monsoon (which i have read is junk) but anyway.. the car is a 00 Trans Am.. and I cant find the amp anywhere.. The reason I am asking is because I honestly think its gone, i test drove a few of these cars before buying mine and mine doesnt sound nearly as good, even though it says "monsoon" right on the head unit.. It will scream if you turn the bass down, but if you give it just a little bit of bass the speakers get very distorted.. So where do I look for this thing???

 

Well I have a 97Z and my amp is located in the passenger rear where the spare tire was at.Removed for weight. It's against the rear fender.You will prob have to remove some of the interior to get to it.It's east though.GL

Here is where it should be. It sits behind that black plastic plate in the middle of the screen.

I am letting my friend Drew take car of it for me.. He is the installer at Best Buy, so basically he buys the stuff I need at employee price, then I pay him and he puts it in.. I have no idea what he is doing with it but he said it will scream when he is done, I trust him since he has wired up all my previous cars.. My only request was to keep my factory head unit..
