monsoon door speaker grill question

I am trying to replace the front door speakers and I am having a hard time removing the grill. The two side tabs on either side pop right off but the top and bottom tabs are not the same. I do not want to tear the grill, but I cannot get it removed. How is this thing attached and what is the easiest way to remove it? Thanks.

argh, don't take them off that way, you'll break them. They're actually melted on to the main door panel. You have to take the whole door panel off to get to those speakers. It's not that hard to do. There's a step by step for it on the second page on the FAQ post at the top of this forum.

Yeah, STOP NOW!

It's simple to get the door panel of. Roll down the window, pull up. Pop, pop, snap, snap and they're off.

Thanks. I know it's not supposed to come off now. I did a search after my original post and found instructions on removal of the grill. Thanks for replying!

You cannot get the speaker out through there anyway.

And if you do take off the door panel make sure you take out all of the screws.

Or there will be some extra pops, and snaps!
