it doesnt depend on the box, it depends on if you combo the right sub in the box.... its .65 cu ft... so you need a sub that'll rock that good. if you have something that needs 1.0, it's not gonna pound.

Re: milhouse box

Pretty much like these guys said, it does sound good and with the right equipment (amp and subs matched appropriately) it will pound.

mega, what are the best sounding 10s in the millhouse box? I have a nice powerful fosgate amp, but the 2 fosgate 10inch HE2s I have arent bumping so loud in them, I think they need more than .65 ft cu.

Must be something else. HE2s are recommended clear down to .375 cu.ft. That's what my crutfield says anyway. Could be how you have them wired. What kind of HU do you have? Maybe you're not getting a good signal.

Ya, im really not sure.... the amp im running is... a Rockford Fosgate Punch 1800-Watt Bridgeable 2-Channel MOSFET Amplifier, the head unit is an alpine-9805.... Do you think it's the wiring? I mean, it hits hard, but it doesnt truly pound.... Maybe its because the stock interior speakers and I can only turn up the volume to like 18 or so on the alpine head unit w/it sounds like garbage.

That would by my guess. You should be able to get it up to 3/4 volume. Unhook your stockers sometime and see how it sounds. Then find youself a nice set of comp.
